Behind a great game by Ludlow Harris, who had two goals, the Kingston Voyageurs defeated the Pickering Panthers, 3-0. Harris found the back of the net 7:51 into the second period to make the score 1-0 Kingston and again while 15:11 into the third to make the score 2-0 Kingston.Charlie Finn frustrated Pickering's offense all game, and stopped 36 shots en route to a shutout. Finn managed to improve on his goals against average, which stood at 2.52 prior to the game. Kingston's penalty kill was spotless, allowing no goals on three Pickering power plays. The Voyageurs featured an improved defense during the game. Kingston gives up 2.8 goals on average per game. The Panthers were unable to stop the Voyageurs from sending pucks towards the net, and Kingston eventually piled up 44 shots on goal. Kingston additionally got points from Michael Schug, who also grabbed one goal and one assist. More assists for Kingston came via David Quesnele, who had one and Graham Yeo, who had two. Pickering put up an impenetrable defensive front on the penalty kill, and did not allow the Voyageurs to score on any of their seven power plays. The Panthers did not reach the goal total they have come to expect this season. Pickering averages 2.9 goals per game. The Panthers forced Kingston goalie Finn to work between the pipes, taking 36 shots. The Voyageurs incurred six minutes in penalty time with three minors. Conor Barrie made 41 saves for Pickering on 44 shots. The Panthers incurred 14 minutes in penalty time with seven minors.
