St. Michaels wins tough contest against Toronto Lakeshore, 6-4

The St. Michaels Buzzers and the Toronto Lakeshore Patriots were evenly matched throughout their contest, but St. Michaels made the most of its opportunities and won, 6-4.

Each team kept the other at bay throughout the game, and David Italiano secured the win for the Buzzers with a goal in the third period.

Italiano had two goals to lead St. Michaels to victory.

The Buzzers kept Toronto Lakeshore's goalie busy throughout the game, and Joseph Pianta made 32 saves on 38 shots. St. Michaels was effective with a man advantage, and put in two goals while on the power play.

St. Michaels additionally got points from Matt Buckles, who also registered one goal and one assist, Jordan Merante, who also had one goal and two assists, and CJ Shugart, who also tallied two goals and one assist. More assists for St. Michaels came via Michael Neville, who had two, Patrick McCarron, who had three, and Greg Allen, Stephen Pietrobon, and Joseph Berton, who contributed one a piece.

The Buzzers were unable to stop the Patriots from sending pucks towards the net, and Toronto Lakeshore eventually piled up 34 shots on goal.

The Patriots were helped by Alex D Oliveira, who had one goal. D Oliveira scored on the power play 2:43 into the first period to make the score 1-0 Toronto Lakeshore. Toronto Lakeshore had gained a power play chance when Nicholas Lepone was whistled for tripping. Nathan Feric provided the assist. Toronto Lakeshore also got points from Daniel Tedesco, who also racked up one goal and one assist. Toronto Lakeshore also got a goal from Marcus Rose as well. Other players who recorded assists for Toronto Lakeshore were Angelpooulos Peter, who had three and Niko Kovachis and Kyle Dutra, who each chipped in one.

Adrian Ignagni recorded 30 saves for St. Michaels. The Buzzers incurred six minutes in penalty time with three minors. The Patriots incurred eight minutes in penalty time with four minors.
