The Pickering Panthers' Aidan Wallace scored 2:19 into overtime to beat the Lindsay Muskies, 5-4 (OT). Pickering got the win behind a great game by Matt Galati, who had two goals and one assist. Galati scored the first of his two goals at 5:37 into the first period to make the score 1-0 Pickering. Carlos Amestoy provided the assist. Galati's next tally made the score 4-3 Pickering with 3:12 left in the second period. The Panthers had gained a power play chance when Dean Klomp was whistled for unsportsmanlike conduct. Cody Doiron picked up the assist. Lindsay was unable to stop Pickering from sending pucks towards the net, and the Panthers eventually piled up 31 shots on goal. Pickering's penalty kill was ineffective, and let in four goals to the Muskies' power play unit. Pickering also got points from Doiron, who also finished with one goal and two assists. Andrew McCann also scored for Pickering. More assists for Pickering came via Derek Sheppard, who had one and Jeff Heard, who had two. Lindsay's offense rang up 37 shots on the Panthers' net. The Muskies' defensemen played an important role in the offense, chipping in two goals. Lindsay was helped by Brian Hubers, who tallied one goal. Hubers scored on the power play 3:32 into the second period to make the score 2-1 Pickering. A hooking penalty on Wallace had put the Muskies on the power play. Patrick Thornton assisted on the tally. Lindsay additionally got points from Dylan Fitze, who also grabbed one goal and one assist and Corey Jackson, who also had one goal and one assist to lead the team in points. Lindsay also got a goal from Jake Taylor as well. Other players who recorded assists for Lindsay were Cole Murduff and Louis-David Bourgault, who each chipped in one. Conor Barrie rejected 33 shots on goal for Pickering. The Panthers incurred 10 minutes in penalty time with five minors. Tanner Davis recorded 26 saves for Lindsay. The Muskies incurred six minutes in penalty time with three minors.
