The Toronto Lakeshore Patriots used a seven-goal second period to put away the Hamilton Red Wings, 13-4. Toronto Lakeshore got the win with help from a great game by Wes Deme, who had two goals and two assists. Deme scored the first of his two goals at 17:31 into the first period to make the score 2-1 Toronto Lakeshore. Daniel Tedesco assisted on the tally. Deme's next tally made the score 3-1 Toronto Lakeshore with 18:25 left in the second period. Alex D Oliveira picked up the assist. The Patriots forced Red Wings' goaltenders to work all game long, finishing with 58 shots and forcing 45 saves. Bret Gilmore made 43 stops and Allen Avery made two. Toronto Lakeshore's goal total was higher than its season average. The Patriots have scored at the pace of 4.0 goals per game during the current campaign. Toronto Lakeshore's defensemen played an important role in the offense, chipping in three goals.
