Huge game by Renouf boosts Oakville over Mississauga, 4-1

Jonah Renouf had one goal and two assists to lead the Oakville Blades to a 4-1 victory over the Mississauga Chargers.

Renouf got on the board by slotting home a goal 1:37 into the second period to make the score 2-0 Oakville. Patrick Chore picked up the assist. Renouf dished an assist on Nathan Renouf's goal that made the score 3-0 Oakville at 4:28 into the second period. He added another helper on Rory Bell's goal that made the score 4-0 Oakville at 11:38 into the second period.

Mississauga was unable to stop Oakville from sending pucks towards the net, and the Blades eventually piled up 45 shots on goal.

Eric Chore also scored for Oakville. In addition, Oakville received assists from Aidan Orbinski, Harrison Domagala, Kris Bennet, and Vince Palermo, who each chipped in one.

The Chargers put up an impenetrable defensive front on the penalty kill, and did not allow Oakville to score on any of its five power plays. Mississauga's offense operated below it season average. The Chargers average 3.3 goals per game.

Evan Buitenhuis recorded 21 saves for the Blades. Oakville incurred six minutes in penalty time with three minors. Alex Lepore made 41 saves for Mississauga on 45 shots. The Chargers incurred 12 minutes in penalty time with six minors.
