Trenton outlasts Kingston, 4-2

Duncan Memorial    Fri, Dec 07, 2012

In a game where neither team could get a cushion, the Trenton Golden Hawks escaped with a 4-2 victory over the Kingston Voyageurs.

Neither team gained more than a two-goal lead, and Jordan Minello's goal in the third period proved to be the difference maker.

The Golden Hawks stifled Kingston's power play, and did not give up a single goal while down a man. Trenton forced the Voyageurs goalie Charlie Finn to work between the pipes, taking 47 shots. The Golden Hawks could not stay out of the penalty box, as the team accrued 34 minutes in penalties during the game.

Trenton also got a goal from Shawn Hulshof as well. In addition, Trenton received assists from Greg Trichilo, who had two and Josh Timpano, Ori Abramson, and Krystian Yorke, who each chipped in one.

Kingston was helped by Ludlow Harris, who had one goal. Harris scored 13:43 into the second period to make the score 2-2. David Quesnele picked up the assist. Kris Grant also scored for Kingston. More assists for Kingston came via Michael Casale, who had one.
