Aurora beats Lindsay 5-4 after comeback scareLindsay Recreation Centre Fri, Dec 07, 2012 Story by Narrative Science.
The Aurora Tigers survived a determined comeback attempt by the Lindsay Muskies on the way to a 5-4 win. A goal by Adam DiBrina put Aurora up 5-2 in the third period, but Lindsay pulled to within one on Felix Chamberland's tally 17:14 into the third period. DiBrina was all over the ice for the Tigers, as he racked up two goals in the win. Aurora forced the Muskies goalie Greg Zupan to work between the pipes, taking 37 shots. The Tigers struggled to stay out of the sin bin throughout the game as they finished the game with 20 penalty minutes for nine opposing power plays. Aurora additionally got points from Jordan Brown, who also finished with one goal and one assist and Adam Moody, who also tallied one goal and two assists to lead the team in points. Aurora also got a goal from Matt Andreacchi as well. Other players who recorded assists for Aurora were Daniel Clairmont, who had two and Tyler Shaw, Michael Keenan, Dylan Wallace, Dylan Sikura, and Robert Angiolella, who each chipped in one. Lindsay's penalty killing units received substantial work throughout the game as the Muskies finished with 38 penalty minutes. Cole Murduff also scored for Lindsay. In addition, Lindsay received assists from Dean Klomp, Corey Jackson, and Jake Taylor, who contributed one a piece and Louis-David Bourgault and Brian Hubers, who each chipped in two. Aurora's Kevin Entmaa stopped 24 shots out of the 28 that he faced. The Tigers registered two goals on eight power play opportunities. Zupan recorded 32 saves for Lindsay. For the Muskies, Jackson was ejected from the game.
