Pickering falls to Whitby in overtime, 4-3 (OT)

Spencer MacCormack gave the Whitby Fury a 4-3 (OT) victory over the Pickering Panthers when he scored 1:22 into the extra period.

Although Whitby was up by as many as two goals in the second period, Pickering kept the game interesting by staging a comeback that ultimately fell short. The Panthers pulled to within 3-2 on a goal by Brodie Tutton at 10:45 in the third period.

MacCormack had a great game for the Fury, netting two goals.

Whitby's penalty kill was spotless, allowing no goals on four Pickering power plays. The Fury forced Pickering goalie Conor Barrie to work between the pipes, taking 48 shots.

Whitby also got a goal from Nick Neal as well. More assists for Whitby came via Chris Raguseo, Sean Deroch, Tyler Park, Jack Lewis, Henry Thompson, Mike Panowyk, and Matt Davis, who each chipped in one.

Matt Galati also scored for Pickering. In addition, Pickering received assists from Aidan Wallace, who had two and Derek Sheppard, Cody Doiron, and Tanner Bull, who contributed one a piece.

Tyler Feaver made 24 saves for Whitby on 27 shots. The Fury incurred eight minutes in penalty time with four minors. The Panthers' Barrie stopped 44 shots out of the 48 that he faced. Pickering incurred 18 minutes in penalty time with four minors.
