Fitze's goals lift Lindsay to 5-2 victory over Pickering

The Lindsay Muskies relied on the scoring touch of Dylan Fitze, who netted two goals, to beat the Pickering Panthers, 5-2.

Fitze scored on the power play at 10:43 into the third period to make the score 3-2 Lindsay and again while 19:09 into the third to make the score 5-2 Lindsay.

Lindsay additionally got points from Louis-David Bourgault, who also registered one goal and one assist and Corey Jackson, who also tallied one goal and one assist. Terry Snoddon also scored for Lindsay. In addition, Lindsay received assists from Dean Klomp, who had three and Patrick Thornton, Vince Herlihey, Felix Chamberland, and Bryce Sweeting, who each chipped in one.

Pickering was helped by Matt Galati, who had one goal. Galati scored 14:14 into the second period to make the score 2-2. Joseph Benvenuto picked up the assist. Pickering also got a goal from Carlos Amestoy as well. Other players who recorded assists for Pickering were Cody Doiron, who had one and Andrew McCann, who had two.

Greg Zupan rejected 24 shots on goal for Lindsay. The Muskies incurred 12 minutes in penalty time with six minors. The Panthers' Conor Barrie stopped 25 shots out of the 29 that he faced. Pickering incurred 10 minutes in penalty time with five minors.
