The Oakville Blades tried to dig themselves out of a three-goal hole, but the St. Michaels Buzzers held on for a 3-1 victory. St. Michaels made the score 3-0 on a goal by Joseph Berton at 4:06 in the second period, and Oakville got as close as 3-1 when Eric Chore scored 9:56 into the third period. The Buzzers' Adrian Ignagni was a brick wall in net, as he came up with 46 saves and let only one puck past him. Ignagni certainly lowered his goals against average, which was 2.61 entering the contest. St. Michaels put up an impenetrable defensive front on the penalty kill, and did not allow the Blades to score on any of their six power plays. The Buzzers forced Oakville goalie Evan Buitenhuis to work between the pipes, taking 52 shots. St. Michaels was hit hard by penalties in the contest, and totaled eight minors and one major for 21 minutes in penalty time. The Buzzers were helped by Jake Evans, who tallied one goal. Evans scored 17:54 into the first period to make the score 2-0 St. Michaels. Michael Neville provided the assist. St. Michaels additionally got points from Berton, who also racked up one goal and one assist. CJ Shugart also scored for St. Michaels. In addition, St. Michaels received assists from Nicholas Lepone, who had one and Jordan Merante, who had two. The Blades forced their penalty killing units to work especially hard during the game, picking up seven minors and one major for 19 minutes in penalty time. Oakville surpassed its season average of 17.0 penalty minutes per game. The Blades' penalty kill was spotless, allowing no goals on five St. Michaels power plays. Oakville could not produce up to it normal offensive output. The Blades put an average of 3.8 pucks into the net per game. Oakville's offense rang up 47 shots on St. Michaels' net. More assists for Oakville came via Harrison Domagala and Jonah Renouf, who contributed one a piece. For the Buzzers, Matt Buckles was ejected from the game. Evan Buitenhuis made 49 saves for the Blades on 52 shots. Oakville ran into serious disciplinary problems during the contest, and Vince Palermo was ejected from the game.
