The Georgetown Raiders' David Miller had a big offensive game, scoring one goal and contributing two assists in his team's 5-2 win over the Burlington Cougars. Miller beat Alex Murray with a shot 1:26 into the third period on the power play to make the score 3-1 Georgetown. Steve Hladin provided the assist. Miller dished an assist on Liam Clare's goal that made the score 1-0 Georgetown at 3:59 into the first period. He added another helper on Hladin's goal that made the score 2-0 Georgetown at 7:11 into the first period.Georgetown's penalty kill excelled, as the Raiders gave up zero goals despite allowing eight power plays. The Georgetown penalty box was a popular destination as the team totaled eight minors and one major for 41 minutes in penalty time. The Raiders surpassed its season average of 21.0 penalty minutes per game. Georgetown stifled Burlington's power play, and did not give up a single goal while down a man. The Raiders' offense rang up 40 shots on the Cougars' net. Georgetown got an offensive boost from its blueliners, who contributed two goals during the game. Georgetown additionally got points from Hladin, who also registered two goals and one assist to lead the team in points. Other players who recorded assists for Georgetown were Brendan Woods, who had two and spencer Herbst and Alex Adams, who each chipped in one. Burlington racked up the penalties in the contest, and ended with nine minors and one major for 63 minutes in penalty time. The total exceeded the 25.0 minutes per game the Cougars had been spending in the box. Burlington was helped by Ellery O Hara, who tallied one goal.
