The Trenton Golden Hawks won 6-3 over the Stouffville Spirit. Stouffville was unable to stop Trenton from sending pucks towards the net, and the Golden Hawks eventually piled up 52 shots on goal. Trenton outdid its season average for goals scored. The Golden Hawks have scored at the pace of 3.6 goals per game during the current campaign. The defensemen of Trenton were also effective in the Spirit's zone, and came away with three goals. The Golden Hawks could not stay out of the penalty box, as the team accrued 26 minutes in penalties during the game. Trenton was helped by Sammy Banga, who had one goal and one assist. Banga scored 34 seconds into the second period to make the score 2-0 Trenton. Josh Timpano assisted on the tally. Trenton additionally got points from Timpano, who also grabbed one goal and one assist and Ryan Johnson, who also registered one goal and one assist. Trenton also had goals scored by Brandon Scott, who had one and Erlich Doerksen, who had two. More assists for Trenton came via Krystian Yorke, who had two and Mike Nedoszytko, Ori Abramson, Shawn Hulshof, Alex Leader, Nolan Martin, and Brady Wiffen, who contributed one a piece. Stouffville had trouble converting on the power play advantage, managing just two goals on nine chances. The Spirit were helped by Dylan Savory, who racked up one goal. Savory scored on the power play 2:59 into the third period to make the score 4-2 Trenton. A cross checking penalty on Leader had put Stouffville on the power play. Robert Powers picked up the assist. Stouffville also got points from Michael Morgan, who also tallied one goal and one assist. Peyton Backus also scored for Stouffville. In addition, Stouffville received assists from Alex Botten, Daryl Thompson, and Matthew Dunlop, who each chipped in one. Victor Adamo rejected 19 shots on goal for the Golden Hawks. Trenton registered two goals on five power play opportunities. The Spirit's Knick Dawe stopped 46 shots out of the 51 that he faced. Stouffville incurred 10 minutes in penalty time with five minors.
