Aurora hangs on, beats Wellington 4-2

Matt Andreacchi gave the Aurora Tigers the lead in the first period, and the Wellington Dukes was never able to catch up in a close game that ended 4-2.

A goal 19:58 into the the first period by Andreacchi proved to be the game winner, and powered Aurora to the victory The Tigers had gained a power play chance when Dominic Nitti was whistled for tripping. Tyler Shaw picked up the assist.

Andreacchi was all over the ice for Aurora, as he registered two goals in the win.

The Tigers' offense rang up 54 shots on Wellington's net.

Aurora also got a goal from Kory Kennedy as well. In addition, Aurora received assists from Taylor McCloy, who had two and Michael Keenan, Tanner Shaw, Adam Moody, and Robert Angiolella, who contributed one a piece.

The Dukes kept Aurora's goalie busy throughout the game, and Kevin Entmaa made 29 saves on 31 shots.

Wellington was led by Kyle Paat, who finished with one goal and one assist. Paat scored on the power play 13:11 into the second period to make the score 3-2 Aurora. The Dukes had gotten the advantage when the Tigers' Moody was sent off for cross checking. Mike Soucier provided the assist. Josh Gervais also scored for Wellington. More assists for Wellington came via Erick Delaurentis, who had one.

Aurora incurred 10 minutes in penalty time with five minors. Matt Larose recorded 50 saves for Wellington. The Dukes incurred 14 minutes in penalty time with seven minors.
