Nick Marinac had one point to lead the Trenton Golden Hawks to a 5-1 victory over the Kingston Voyageurs. Trenton stifled Kingston's power play, and did not give up a single goal while down a man. The Golden Hawks forced the Voyageurs goalie Charlie Finn to work between the pipes, taking 51 shots. The defensemen of Trenton were also effective in Kingston's zone, and came away with two goals. The Golden Hawks were forced to rely heavily on their penalty kill unit throughout the game, as they racked up 44 penalty minutes. Trenton also got points from Ori Abramson, who also grabbed one goal and one assist and Sammy Banga, who also finished with one goal and one assist. Loren Ulett also scored for Trenton. Other players who recorded assists for Trenton were Mackenzie Scott, Truman Landowski, and Ryan Johnson, who each chipped in one and Jordan Minello and Erlich Doerksen, who contributed two a piece. The Voyageurs were often in penalty trouble, totaling six minors and one major for 47 minutes in penalty time. The total exceeded the 18.0 minutes per game Kingston had been spending in the box. The Voyageurs were led by Ludlow Harris, who scored the team's only goal. Harris scored 3:17 into the first period to make the score 1-0 Kingston. David Quesnele picked up the assist. Victor Adamo recorded 20 saves for Trenton. The Golden Hawks registered one goal on six power play opportunities. Kingston's Finn stopped 46 shots out of the 51 that he faced. The Voyageurs registered zero goals on three power play opportunities. Team's Chad Duchesne and Michael Schug were slapped with misconducts and ejected from the game.
