Kingston downs Stouffville in overtime, 3-2 (OT)

The Kingston Voyageurs' Graham Yeo scored 1:10 into overtime to beat the Stouffville Spirit, 3-2 (OT).

Kingston was led by Yeo, who finished with one goal.

The Voyageurs' offense rang up 34 shots on Stouffville's net.

Kingston also got points from Ludlow Harris, who also tallied one goal and one assist to lead the team in points. Kingston also got a goal from Brandon Wolframe as well. Other players who recorded assists for Kingston were Kris Grant, who had two and Chad Duchesne, Josh Hicks, and David Quesnele, who contributed one a piece.

The Spirit managed to stay out of the box better than usual, racking up one minor for two minutes in penalty time. Stouffville finished below its season average of 16.0 penalty minutes per game. Kingston was unable to stop the Spirit from sending pucks towards the net, and Stouffville eventually piled up 41 shots on goal.

The Spirit were helped by Jacob Bauchman, who grabbed one goal. Bauchman scored 19:18 into the third period to make the score 2-2. Matthew Heffernan picked up the assist. Alex Botten also scored for Stouffville. In addition, Stouffville received assists from Peyton Backus, Dylan Savory, and Robert Powers, who each chipped in one.

Charlie Finn made 39 saves for the Voyageurs on 41 shots. Kingston incurred four minutes in penalty time with two minors. Knick Dawe rejected 31 shots on goal for Stouffville. The Spirit registered zero goals on two power play opportunities.
