The Hamilton Red Wings had trouble finding ways to stop the North York Rangers, which beat Red Wings, 9-2. John Carpino was all over the ice for North York, as he tallied two goals and one assist in the win. Carpino scored the first of his two goals at 1:39 into the first period to make the score 1-0 North York. Valadao Adam provided the assist. Carpino's next tally made the score 5-1 North York with 12:22 left in the second period. Corey Kalk assisted on the tally. In addition, Hamilton received assists from Troy Crema and Braxton Andrews, who each chipped in one. North York's Jason Pucciarelli stopped 18 shots out of the 20 that he faced.
