Aurora's Lisi deadly on offense in 3-0 win against Newmarket

Daniel Lisi had two goals to lead the Aurora Tigers to a 3-0 victory over the Newmarket Hurricanes.

Lisi scored at 1:19 into the second period to make the score 1-0 Aurora and again while on the power play 30 seconds into the third to make the score 2-0 Aurora.

Aurora was boosted by Kevin Entmaa, who turned in a shutout with 30 saves. The solid play of Entmaa will be reflected in his goals against average, which pre-game was 1.96.

The Tigers' penalty kill was spotless, allowing no goals on four Newmarket power plays. Aurora was steadier on the defensive front than it has been for much of this season. The Tigers average 2.7 goals allowed per game. Aurora's offense rang up 31 shots on Newmarket's net.

Aurora also got a goal from Adam DiBrina as well. Other players who recorded assists for Aurora were Robert Angiolella, who had two and Tyler Shaw, Michael Keenan, Daniel Clairmont, and Matt Andreacchi, who each chipped in one.

The Hurricanes did not reach the goal total they have come to expect this season. Newmarket averages 2.8 goals per game.

The Tigers incurred eight minutes in penalty time with four minors. Matthew Wintjes made 28 saves for the Hurricanes on 30 shots. Newmarket incurred four minutes in penalty time with two minors.
