Andreacchi's big game bests Pickering in 6-2 Aurora win

Behind a great game by Matt Andreacchi, who had two goals and one assist, the Aurora Tigers defeated the Pickering Panthers, 6-2.

Andreacchi scored at 6:21 into the second period to make the score 2-2 and again while 14:37 into the second to make the score 4-2 Aurora.

Aurora made Pickering's netminders to work hard to keep the puck out of the net, firing 38 shots and forcing 32 saves. CJ Sharp made 15 stops and Spencer Bacon made 17. The Tigers surpassed their usual scoring output this season. Aurora averages 2.8 goals per game.

Aurora additionally got points from Daniel Lisi, who also racked up one goal and two assists and Daniel Clairmont, who also grabbed two goals and one assist. Mike Sones also scored for Aurora. In addition, Aurora received assists from Taylor McCloy, who had two and Tyler Shaw, Michael Keenan, Jordan Brown, Curtis Warren APJ, and Kory Kennedy, who each chipped in one.

The Panthers forced the Tigers goalie Kevin Entmaa to work between the pipes, taking 33 shots.

Pickering was helped by Cody Doiron, who tallied one goal. Doiron scored 23 seconds into the first period to make the score 1-0 Pickering. Alex Clements assisted on the tally. Pickering also got a goal from Aidan Wallace as well. Other players who recorded assists for Pickering were Robert Lepine and Matt Galati, who contributed one a piece.

Aurora's Entmaa stopped 31 shots out of the 33 that he faced. The Tigers incurred six minutes in penalty time with three minors. The Panthers incurred 10 minutes in penalty time with five minors.
