Ryan Burns was all over the ice for the Milton Icehawks, as he tallied two goals in Milton's 7-1 win over the Burlington Cougars. Burns found the back of the net 7:44 into the second period to make the score 2-1 Milton and again while 19:54 into the second to make the score 6-1 Milton.The Icehawks stifled Burlington's power play, and did not give up a single goal while down a man. Milton forced the Cougars goalie Brock Novak to work between the pipes, taking 48 shots. The Icehawks surpassed their usual scoring output this season. Milton additionally got points from Brad Kobryn, who also had two goals and one assist, Tye Campbell, who also finished with one goal and three assists, and Shane Bennett, who also grabbed one goal and one assist.
