Ryan Burns was all over the ice for the Milton Icehawks, as he tallied two goals in Milton's 7-1 win over the Burlington Cougars.

The Icehawks stifled Burlington's power play, and did not give up a single goal while down a man. Milton forced the Cougars goalie Brock Novak to work between the pipes, taking 48 shots. The Icehawks surpassed their usual scoring output this season. Milton has scored at the pace of 4.4 goals per game during the current campaign.

Milton additionally got points from Brad Kobryn, who also had two goals and one assist, Tye Campbell, who also finished with one goal and three assists, and Shane Bennett, who also grabbed one goal and one assist. Milton also got a goal from Bryce Abraham as well. More assists for Milton came via Austin Kosack, who had two and Brock Bottachio, Jonathon Buttitta, Spencer Gourlay, Griffin Leach, Michael Capicotto, and Daniel Holt, who each chipped in one.

Burlington's offense operated below it season average. The Cougars put an average of 3.5 pucks into the net per game. Burlington could not stay out of the penalty box, as the team accrued 36 minutes in penalties during the game.

The Cougars were led by Cooper Richards, who scored the team's only goal. Richards scored 19:10 into the first period to make the score 1-1. Steven Mueller picked up the assist.

Braden Mann made 23 saves for the Icehawks on 24 shots. Milton incurred 28 minutes in penalty time with four minors. Novak rejected 41 shots on goal for Burlington. The Cougars registered zero goals on four power play opportunities.
