Georgetown erases deficit to stun North York, 5-4North York Centennial Sun, Nov 11, 2012 Story by Narrative Science.
The Georgetown Raiders rallied from two goals down to secure a 5-4 win over the North York Rangers. Georgetown let multiple leads slip away before eventually digging out of a two hole to pick up the win. The Raiders took a 4-3 advantage on a goal by Robbie Murden at 14:41 in the second period. Georgetown went down 2-0 after North York's Michael Giacometti put the puck home on the power play at 9:01 in the first period. After knotting things up at 4-4 on a goal by Ryan Kinsella at 1:39 in the third, the Raiders got the game-winner from Murden at 2:09 in the third period. Georgetown got the win behind a great game by Murden, who had two goals and three assists. Referees had their hands full with a major incident at 1:49 into the third period. Eight fighting penalties were dished out along with six game misconducts. The Raiders were often in penalty trouble, totaling nine minors and three majors for 43 minutes in penalty time.
