The Lindsay Muskies could not stop the Wellington Dukes' Craig Campbell, who tallied a hat trick in a 7-4 win. Campbell's first goal came 3:55 into the second period. He then added goals at 9:47 into the second and at 14:37 into the third.Wellington forced Lindsay's goalies to work all game long, ripping 36 shots and forcing 29 saves. Greg Zupan made 22 stops and Tanner Davis made seven. The Dukes found the back of the net more times than it usually has this season. Wellington has scored at the pace of 3.2 goals per game during the current campaign. The Dukes had trouble converting on the power play advantage, managing just two goals on nine chances. Wellington additionally got points from Josh Gervais, who also finished with one goal and two assists and Brian Bunnett, who also tallied one goal and one assist. Abbot Girduckis also scored for Wellington. Other players who recorded assists for Wellington were Jacob Hetherington and Nik Coric, who contributed one a piece and Kyle Paat and Erick Delaurentis, who each chipped in three. The Muskies' offense rang up 52 shots on Wellington's net. Lindsay was forced to rely heavily on their penalty kill unit throughout the game, as it racked up 26 penalty minutes. The Muskies were led by Dean Klomp, who racked up two goals and one assist. Klomp scored the first of his two goals at 7:01 into the second period to make the score 4-1 Wellington. Tyler Donaldson provided the assist. Klomp's next tally made the score 6-2 Wellington with 5:36 left in the second period. Felix Chamberland assisted on the tally. Lindsay also got points from Vince Herlihey, who also had one goal and one assist and Dylan Fitze, who also registered one goal and one assist. More assists for Lindsay came via Patrick Thornton, Matt McCartney, and Louis-David Bourgault, who contributed one a piece. Matt Larose recorded 48 saves for the Dukes. Wellington incurred 10 minutes in penalty time with five minors. Lindsay registered one goal on two power play opportunities.
