Toronto Lakeshore falls to Oakville in overtime, 3-2 (OT)

The Oakville Blades' Nathan Renouf scored 4:02 into overtime to beat the Toronto Lakeshore Patriots, 3-2 (OT).

Oakville was paced by Renouf, who registered one goal.

Toronto Lakeshore was unable to stop the Blades from sending pucks towards the net, and Oakville eventually piled up 35 shots on goal.

Oakville also got a goal from Eric Chore as well. More assists for Oakville came via Kris Bennet, Patrick Chore, Kyle Jenkins, Kyle Capobianco (APM), and Rory Bell, who each chipped in one.

The Patriots managed to stay out of the box better than usual, registering one minor for two minutes in penalty time. Toronto Lakeshore wound up below its season average of 16.0 penalty minutes per game. The Patriots kept the Blades' goalie busy throughout the game, and Evan Buitenhuis made 33 saves on 35 shots.

Toronto Lakeshore was helped by Luke Carter, who finished with one goal. Carter scored 18:04 into the first period to make the score 1-0 Toronto Lakeshore. Angelpooulos Peter assisted on the tally. Toronto Lakeshore also got points from Peter, who also tallied one goal and one assist to lead the team in points. Other players who recorded assists for Toronto Lakeshore were Marcus Rose, Brody Heleno, and Michael Apreda, who contributed one a piece.

Oakville incurred four minutes in penalty time with two minors. Eric angeli recorded 32 saves for the Patriots. Toronto Lakeshore registered zero goals on two power play opportunities.
