The Trenton Golden Hawks' Josh Timpano had a big offensive game, scoring two goals and contributing two assists in his team's 6-2 win over the Cobourg Cougars. Timpano's tallies came on the power play at 11:47 into the first period to make the score 1-0 Trenton and 14:56 into the third to make the score 5-2 Trenton.Trenton stifled Cobourg's power play, and did not give up a single goal while down a man. The Golden Hawks found the back of the net more times than it usually has this season. Trenton averages 3.4 goals per game. Trenton also got points from Jordan Minello, who also registered one goal and two assists, Mike Nedoszytko, who also grabbed one goal and one assist, and Shawn Hulshof, who also finished with one goal and one assist. Trenton also got a goal from Michael Walker as well. More assists for Trenton came via Erlich Doerksen and Robbie Hall, who each chipped in one and Brady Wiffen and Sammy Banga, who contributed two a piece. The Cougars were helped by Conor Carson, who had one goal. Carson scored 12:04 into the first period to make the score 1-1. Dylan Goddard provided the assist. Mitchell Burghardt also scored for Cobourg. The Golden Hawks' Victor Adamo stopped 25 shots out of the 27 that he faced. Trenton incurred 10 minutes in penalty time with five minors. Nathan Perry took the loss and made 14 saves before being replaced by Joe Keyser who made three saves. Cobourg incurred 14 minutes in penalty time with seven minors.
