Georgetown downs Milton in overtime, 4-3 (OT)Milton Memorial Arena Fri, Nov 02, 2012 Story by Narrative Science.
Anthony Marra gave the Georgetown Raiders a 4-3 (OT) victory over the Milton Icehawks when he scored 1:10 into the extra period. Georgetown was led by Marra, who registered one goal. The Raiders put up an impenetrable defensive front on the penalty kill, and did not allow Milton to score on any of its five power plays. Georgetown kept the Icehawks' goalie busy throughout the game, and Braden Mann made 45 saves on 49 shots. Georgetown additionally got points from David Miller, who also tallied one goal and one assist and Drake Hart, who also finished with one goal and one assist. Georgetown also got a goal from Richard Court as well. Other players who recorded assists for Georgetown were Riley Dunda and Santino Centorame, who each chipped in one and Liam Clare and Robbie Murden, who contributed two a piece. Milton forced the Raiders goalie Gabe Grunwald to work between the pipes, taking 34 shots. The Icehawks found themselves short handed often, totaling 24 penalty minutes and allowing six power plays. Milton was led by Daniel Holt, who grabbed one goal and one assist. Holt scored 2:13 into the second period to make the score 2-1 Georgetown. Jonathon Buttitta assisted on the tally. Bryce Abraham also scored for Milton. In addition, Milton received assists from Rocky Furfari, who had one and Josh Pace, who had two. Grunwald rejected 31 shots on goal for Georgetown. The Raiders incurred 12 minutes in penalty time with six minors.
