Orangeville survives Mississauga comeback, wins 4-2

The Mississauga Chargers almost clawed their way back from a three-goal deficit, but the Orangeville Flyers managed to pull out a 4-2 win in the end.

Orangeville led by three goals at one point and ended with the victory. The largest advantage in the game came when the Flyers' James Pitsadiotis' scored at 5:29 in the second period to put Orangeville up 3-0.

The Flyers' penalty kill was spotless, allowing no goals on five Mississauga power plays. Orangeville's offense rang up 35 shots on Mississauga's net.

The Flyers were helped by Blake Forslund, who had one goal and one assist. Forslund scored 19:15 into the third period to make the score 4-2 Orangeville. John Doyle provided the assist. Orangeville additionally got points from Doyle, who also tallied one goal and one assist. Orangeville also got a goal from Brandon Gaudette as well. In addition, Orangeville received assists from Jayme Forslund, Kelby Lorenz, Mathew Thompson, Thomas Tsicos, and Jordan Carvalho, who each chipped in one.

The Chargers stifled Orangeville's power play, and did not give up a single goal while down a man.

Mississauga was helped by Lucas Venuto, who registered one goal and one assist. Venuto scored 3:58 into the third period to make the score 3-1 Orangeville. A Latina picked up the assist. Mississauga also got points from Trevor Warnaar, who also racked up one goal and one assist. Other players who recorded assists for Mississauga were Jimmy Cusan, who had one.

Bo Bessette made 28 saves for the Flyers on 30 shots. Orangeville incurred 10 minutes in penalty time with five minors. Austin Washkurak rejected 31 shots on goal for the Chargers. Mississauga incurred six minutes in penalty time with three minors.
