In a game where neither team could get a cushion, the Pickering Panthers escaped with a 4-2 victory over the Kingston Voyageurs. No lead was more than two goals during the contest, and the winning goal was scored by Andrew McCann at 11:44 of the third period. Kingston's power play was ineffective against Pickering's penalty kill, which allowed one goal while shorthanded. The Panthers were paced by McCann, who had one goal. Pickering also got a goal from Robert Lepine as well. In addition, Pickering received assists from Jeff Heard, who had three and Aidan Wallace, Josh Herrington, Cody Doiron, and Alex Clements, who contributed one a piece. The Voyageurs excelled on the penalty kill, not giving up a single goal in four chances. Kingston forced Pickering goalie CJ Sharp to work between the pipes, taking 34 shots. The Voyageurs were helped by Alex Tonge, who grabbed one goal. Tonge scored 18:19 into the second period to make the score 2-2. Francesco Vilardi assisted on the tally. Brian Nanne also scored for Kingston. Other players who recorded assists for Kingston were Kris Grant, Graham Yeo, and Brandon O Quinn, who each chipped in one. Sharp rejected 32 shots on goal for the Panthers. Pickering incurred 20 minutes in penalty time with five minors. Brandon O'Neil made 21 saves for Kingston on 25 shots. The Voyageurs incurred 16 minutes in penalty time with three minors.
