Huge game by Kaminsky boosts Wellington over Aurora, 5-2

Behind a great game by Jan Kaminsky, who had one goal and three assists, the Wellington Dukes defeated the Aurora Tigers, 5-2.

Kaminsky got on the board by slotting home a goal 7:21 into the second period to make the score 3-1 Wellington. Craig Campbell assisted on the tally. Kaminsky dished an assist on Kyle Paat's goal that made the score 1-0 Wellington at 5:18 into the first period. He then added assists on Paat's goal at 4:09 into the second and on Campbell's goal at 19:35 into the third.

Wellington's penalty kill was spotless, allowing no goals on three Aurora power plays. Team's forwards weren't the only contributers offensively, and the team's defensemen showcased their scoring touch with two goals.

Wellington additionally got points from Campbell, who also had one goal and two assists and Paat, who also registered two goals and one assist. Abbot Girduckis also scored for Wellington. In addition, Wellington received assists from Parker Wood, Josh Gervais, Jake Marchment, and Joe McKeown, who contributed one a piece.

Aurora's offense rang up 37 shots on the Dukes' net.

The Tigers were helped by Trevor Hughson, who tallied one goal. Hughson scored 10:29 into the second period to make the score 3-2 Wellington. Dylan Sikura provided the assist. Aurora also got a goal from Daniel Clairmont as well. Other players who recorded assists for Aurora were Kory Kennedy, Daniel Lisi, and Robert Angiolella, who each chipped in one.

Matt Larose recorded 35 saves for Wellington. The Dukes incurred six minutes in penalty time with three minors. Aurora's Brett Sinclair stopped 24 shots out of the 28 that he faced. The Tigers incurred six minutes in penalty time with three minors.
