Toronto holds on for 3-2 win against Milton

The Toronto Junior Canadiens survived a determined comeback attempt by the Milton Icehawks on the way to a 3-2 win.

Toronto took a 3-1 lead during the third period, only to have Milton storm back on a Justin Devincentis goal 18:34 into the third period to pull to one goal down.

Anthony Repaci was all over the ice for the Junior Canadiens, as he tallied two goals in the win.

Toronto's penalty kill was spotless, allowing no goals on five Milton power plays. The Junior Canadiens kept the Icehawks' goalie busy throughout the game, and Braden Mann made 41 saves on 44 shots.

Danny Liscio also scored for Toronto. In addition, Toronto received assists from Adam Logozzo, Gregory Di Tomaso, Jimin Kim, Connor Prudames, Nello Altomare, and Joseph Santino, who each chipped in one.

Milton could not produce up to it normal offensive output. The Icehawks put an average of 4.1 pucks into the net per game. Toronto was unable to stop Milton from sending pucks towards the net, and the Icehawks eventually piled up 36 shots on goal.

Milton also got a goal from Spencer Gourlay as well. Other players who recorded assists for Milton were Jonathon Buttitta, Austin Kosack, Kane Elliot, and Shane Bennett, who contributed one a piece.

Nathan Colitto rejected 34 shots on goal for the Junior Canadiens. Toronto incurred 18 minutes in penalty time with four minors. Milton incurred eight minutes in penalty time with four minors.
