Cobourg erases deficit to stun Lindsay, 4-3

Undaunted by a two-goal deficit, the Cobourg Cougars battled back to claim a 4-3 victory over the Lindsay Muskies.

Cobourg never led in the game until netting the game winner. The Cougars trailed 3-1 after a goal by Lindsay's Ryan Heeps at 13:10 in the second period. Cobourg knotted things up at 3-3 on a goal by Conner Hogg at 8:39 in the third period. The Cougars netted the game winner on the power play at 16:44 in the third period on a goal by Hogg.

Cobourg was paced by Evan Jasper, who racked up one goal.

Cobourg also got a goal from Dalton Bew as well. More assists for Cobourg came via Nick Clark, Corey Helliwell, Conor Carson, and Mark MacAulay, who each chipped in one.

Matt McCartney also scored for Lindsay. In addition, Lindsay received assists from Dylan Fitze, Felix Chamberland, Jesse Gregory, Corey Jackson, and Brian Hubers, who contributed one a piece.

The Cougars' Nathan Perry stopped 27 shots out of the 30 that he faced. Cobourg incurred six minutes in penalty time with three minors. Tanner Davis made 22 saves for the Muskies on 26 shots. Lindsay incurred 14 minutes in penalty time with seven minors.
