Buckles' hat trick boosts St. Michaels over Milton, 5-3

Matt Buckles lifted the St. Michaels Buzzers to a 5-3 victory with a hat trick against the Milton Icehawks.

Buckles notched his first tally 2:20 into the first period. He then added goals at 19:45 into the first and at 19:45 into the third.

St. Michaels forced Milton goalie Braden Mann to work between the pipes, taking 44 shots.

David Italiano also scored for St. Michaels. More assists for St. Michaels came via Jake Clements and Tom Haley, who each chipped in one and Troy Josephs, CJ Shugart, and Patrick McCarron, who contributed two a piece.

The Icehawks' offense rang up 36 shots on the Buzzers' net.

Milton was led by Daniel Holt, who had one goal and one assist. Holt scored 10:37 into the third period to make the score 4-3 St. Michaels. Rocky Furfari assisted on the tally. Milton also got a goal from Jonathon Buttitta as well. In addition, Milton received assists from Tyler Burns, Austin Kosack, Spencer Gourlay, and Justin Devincentis, who each chipped in one.

Adrian Ignagni made 33 saves for St. Michaels on 36 shots. The Buzzers incurred 10 minutes in penalty time with five minors. Mann recorded 39 saves for the Icehawks. Milton incurred 14 minutes in penalty time with seven minors.
