Parker Gahagen made 30 saves to complete the shutout and led the Buffalo Jr. Sabres to a 3-0 win against the Burlington Cougars. Buffalo was led by Pat Egan, who finished with one goal and one assist. Egan scored on the power play 11:23 into the second period to make the score 1-0 Buffalo. The Jr. Sabres earned a power play opportunity when Tyler Lepore was put in the box for roughing. Dylan Howatt provided the assist. Buffalo's penalty kill was spotless, allowing no goals on four Burlington power plays. Burlington was unable to stop the Jr. Sabres from sending pucks towards the net, and Buffalo eventually piled up 46 shots on goal. Buffalo also got points from Howatt, who also tallied one goal and one assist. Buffalo also got a goal from Tyler Gjurich as well. More assists for Buffalo came via Ryan Schmelzer, Nathan Pelligra, David Seward, and Nolan Sheeran, who contributed one a piece. The Cougars' offense operated below they season average. Burlington averages 3.5 goals per game. The Cougars struggled to stay out of the sin bin throughout the game as they finished the game with 21 penalty minutes for six opposing power plays. The Jr. Sabres ended with 17 minutes in penalty time with six minors and one major. For Buffalo, Seward was ejected from the game. Brock Novak recorded 43 saves for Burlington. The Cougars ran into serious disciplinary problems during the contest, and Alex Landry was ejected from the game.
