St. Michaels' Josephs deadly on offense in 5-2 win against Georgetown

Troy Josephs had two goals to lead the St. Michaels Buzzers to a 5-2 victory over the Georgetown Raiders.

Josephs' tallies came short handed at 15:41 into the first period to make the score 1-1 and 19:44 into the first to make the score 2-1 St. Michaels.

St. Michaels' penalty kill excelled, as the Buzzers gave up zero goals despite allowing six power plays.

St. Michaels forced Georgetown's goaltenders to work between the pipes, racking up 31 shots and forcing 26 saves. Gabe Grunwald made 15 stops and Daniel Mannella made 11. The Buzzers stifled the Raiders' power play, and did not give up a single goal while down a man. St. Michaels could not stay out of the penalty box, as the team accrued 48 minutes in penalties during the game.

St. Michaels also got points from Michael Neville, who also had one goal and two assists to lead the team in points. Matt Buckles also scored for St. Michaels. More assists for St. Michaels came via Jordan Schneider, Stephen Pietrobon, David Italiano, Jake Evans, Patrick McCarron, and Adrian Ignagni, who contributed one a piece.

Georgetown excelled on the penalty kill, not giving up a single goal in six chances. The Raiders gave up more goals than its normal season average. Georgetown gives up 2.3 goals per game. The Raiders could not stay out of the penalty box, as the team accrued 46 minutes in penalties during the game.

Georgetown was led by Anthony Marra, who registered one goal and one assist. Marra scored 1:55 into the third period to make the score 3-2 St. Michaels. Brendan Woods assisted on the tally. Georgetown also got a goal from Stephen Hlandin as well. In addition, Georgetown received assists from Santino Centorame, who had one.

Ignagni recorded 22 saves for the Buzzers.
