The Hamilton Red Wings was within striking distance after one period, but the St. Michaels Buzzers put the pedal down in the second en route to a 5-0 victory.

Adrian Ignagni frustrated Hamilton's offense all game, and stopped 32 shots en route to a shutout. The solid play of Ignagni will be reflected in his goals against average, which pre-game was 2.67.

St. Michaels pulled out the victory even though it was hit with 49 penalty minutes.

The Buzzers' penalty kill was spotless, allowing no goals on eight Hamilton power plays. St. Michaels kept the Red Wings' goalie busy throughout the game, and Jason Pucciarelli made 39 saves on 44 shots.
