Hamilton erases deficit to stun Toronto, 3-2

Undaunted by a two-goal deficit, the Hamilton Red Wings battled back to claim a 3-2 victory over the Toronto Junior Canadiens.

Hamilton never led in the game until netting the game winner. The Red Wings fell behind 2-0 after a goal by Toronto's Ryan Brain at 13:50 in the second period. Hamilton tied things up at 2-2 on a goal by Troy Crema at 8:32 in the third period. The Red Wings got the game winner on the power play at 18:42 in the third period on a goal by Crema.

Luke Laidlaw was all over the ice for Hamilton, as he had two goals in the win.

More assists for Hamilton came via Aaron Spivak, Jordan Merante, Adam DiBrina, and Wil Pointon, who contributed one a piece.

The Red Wings were unable to stop the Junior Canadiens from sending pucks towards the net, and Toronto eventually piled up 33 shots on goal.

Adam Logozzo also scored for Toronto. In addition, Toronto received assists from Danny Liscio, Nello Altomare, Robert Cammalleri, and Luca Doctor, who each chipped in one.

Jason Pucciarelli recorded 31 saves for Hamilton. The Red Wings incurred four minutes in penalty time with two minors. The Junior Canadiens' Denny Dubblestyne stopped 26 shots out of the 29 that he faced. Toronto incurred eight minutes in penalty time with four minors.
