The Hamilton Red Wings failed to take advantage of their power play opportunities and the Toronto Lakeshore Patriots shook off a number of penalties to win, 3-0.

Toronto Lakeshore was sparked by Nathan Feric, who finished with one goal. Feric scored 3:05 into the third period to make the score 1-0 Toronto Lakeshore. Doug Bonar assisted on the tally.

The Patriots stifled Hamilton's power play, and did not give up a single goal while down a man. Toronto Lakeshore's defensive play was more effective than usual against the Red Wings. The Patriots gives up 2.9 goals on average per game. Toronto Lakeshore's offense rang up 39 shots on Hamilton's net.

Toronto Lakeshore also got a goal from Dylan Carter as well. In addition, Toronto Lakeshore received assists from Brandon Willett, who had two and Mike Vallescuro and Alex D Oliveira, who contributed one a piece.

The Red Wings excelled on the penalty kill, not giving up a single goal in four chances. Hamilton could not produce up to it normal offensive output. The Red Wings average 3.0 goals per game.

Joseph Pianta made 23 saves for the Patriots on 23 shots. Toronto Lakeshore incurred 22 minutes in penalty time with six minors. Hamilton's Jason Pucciarelli stopped 36 shots out of the 39 that he faced. The Red Wings incurred eight minutes in penalty time with four minors.
