Georgetown survives penalties, beats Milton, 4-1

Despite having to fight off several power plays, the Georgetown Raiders were able to defeat the Milton Icehawks, 4-1.

Georgetown was paced by Nicholas Dozzi, who registered one goal. Dozzi scored 12:42 into the first period to make the score 2-0 Georgetown. Riley Dunda picked up the assist.

The Raiders excelled on the penalty kill, not giving up a single goal in six chances. Georgetown kept Milton's goalie busy throughout the game, and Andre Keire made 39 saves on 43 shots.

Georgetown also got a goal from Jake Emilio as well. Other players who recorded assists for Georgetown were Nick Perruccio, Brendan Jacome, and Robbie Murden, who contributed one a piece and Anthony Marra and CJ Stellato, who each chipped in two.

The Icehawks stifled the Raiders' power play, and did not give up a single goal while down a man. Milton could not produce up to it normal offensive output. The Icehawks put an average of 3.7 pucks into the net per game.

Milton was led by Josh Pace, who scored the team's only goal. Pace scored 2:36 into the second period to make the score 2-1 Georgetown. Austin Kosack assisted on the tally.

Georgetown's Gabe Grunwald stopped 18 shots out of the 19 that he faced. The Raiders incurred 18 minutes in penalty time with four minors. The Icehawks incurred 14 minutes in penalty time with seven minors.
