Huge game by Landowski boosts Trenton over Wellington, 5-2

Truman Landowski was all over the ice for the Trenton Golden Hawks, as he tallied one goal and two assists in Trenton's 5-2 win over the Wellington Dukes.

Landowski got on the board by slotting home a goal 13:41 into the second period to make the score 3-2 Trenton. Brady Wiffen assisted on the tally. Landowski dished an assist on Wiffen's goal that made the score 4-2 Trenton at 19:40 into the second period. He added another helper on Ryan Johnson's goal that made the score 5-2 Trenton at 10:13 into the third period.

The Golden Hawks managed to stay out of the box better than usual, totaling one minor for two minutes in penalty time. Trenton wound up below its season average of 12.0 penalty minutes per game. The Golden Hawks kept Wellington's goalie busy throughout the game, and Hayden Lavigne made 26 saves on 31 shots.

Trenton also got points from Erlich Doerksen, who also racked up one goal and one assist, Johnson, who also tallied two goals and one assist, and Wiffen, who also racked up one goal and two assists to lead the team in points. In addition, Trenton received assists from Robbie Hall, who had two and Loren Ulett and Nolan Martin, who each chipped in one.

The Dukes managed to stay out of the box better than usual, finishing with one minor for two minutes in penalty time. Wellington finished below its season average of 9.0 penalty minutes per game.

The Dukes were helped by Jake Marchment, who finished with one goal. Marchment scored 11:39 into the second period to make the score 2-2. Cam Nicoll provided the assist. Evan Erickson also scored for Wellington. More assists for Wellington came via Kyle Paat, who had one.

Victor Adamo recorded 26 saves for Trenton. The Golden Hawks registered zero goals on one power play opportunities. Wellington registered zero goals on one power play opportunities.
