The Trenton Golden Hawks, who led by five goals at one point, survived a comeback attempt by Trenton and clinched a 6-4 victory. The Golden Hawks led by five goals at one point and ended with the victory. The largest advantage in the game came when Trenton's Shawn Hulshof's scored at 12:15 in the first period to put the Golden Hawks up 5-0. The Cobourg Cougars' power play was ineffective against Trenton's penalty kill, which allowed one goal while shorthanded. The Golden Hawks outdid their season average for goals scored. Armour scored 7:31 into the third period to make the score 6-4 Trenton. Colbie Andrews assisted on the tally. Cobourg additionally got points from Andrews, who also tallied one goal and two assists and Justin Danforth, who also racked up one goal and one assist. Cobourg also got a goal from Matt Martin as well. In addition, Cobourg received assists from Evan Jasper and Taylor Gauld, who contributed one a piece. Winsor rejected 28 shots on goal for Trenton. The Golden Hawks incurred 16 minutes in penalty time with eight minors. Trenton ran into serious disciplinary problems during the contest, and Yorke was ejected from the game. Joe Keyser took the loss and made nine saves before being replaced by Cole Mahoney APM who made two saves. Cobourg incurred eight minutes in penalty time with four minors.
