Davis, Lindsay blank Whitby, 3-0

Tanner Davis recorded a shutout against the Whitby Fury as the Lindsay Muskies picked up a 3-0 win.

Whitby's power play was ineffective against Lindsay's penalty kill, which allowed zero goals while shorthanded.

The Muskies were led by William Sullivan, who registered one goal. Sullivan scored 10:53 into the first period to make the score 1-0 Lindsay. Bryan Hignett assisted on the tally.

Lindsay stifled the Fury's power play, and did not give up a single goal while down a man. The Muskies featured an improved defense during the game. Lindsay averages 3.0 goals allowed per game. The Muskies could not stay out of the penalty box, as the team accrued 28 minutes in penalties during the game.

Dylan Fitze also scored for Lindsay. In addition, Lindsay received assists from Jacob Walters, Patrick Thornton, Felix Chamberland, and Dean Klomp, who each chipped in one.

Whitby was held below its usual level of production. The Fury put an average of 2.8 pucks into the net per game. Whitby kept Lindsay's goalie busy throughout the game, and Davis made 36 saves on 36 shots.

The Muskies registered zero goals on two power play opportunities. Tyler Feaver made 26 saves for the Fury on 29 shots. Whitby incurred eight minutes in penalty time with four minors.
