The Hamilton Red Wings tried to dig themselves out of a five-goal hole, but the Orangeville Flyers held on for a 7-5 victory. Orangeville took a 5-0 lead during the first period, only to have Hamilton storm back on a Adam Brady goal 15:27 into the third period to pull to two goals down. Referees had their hands full with a major incident at 16:56 into the first period. Four fighting penalties were dished out along with two game misconducts. The Flyers made Red Wings' goaltenders to work all game long, launching 34 shots and forcing 27 saves. Jason Pucciarelli made 18 stops and Jake Rennie made nine. Orangeville's goal total was higher than its season average. The Flyers have scored at the pace of 3.8 goals per game during the current campaign. Orangeville was helped by Keegan Ackerland, who racked up one goal and two assists. Ackerland scored 13:06 into the first period to make the score 2-0 Orangeville.
