Delaurentis' big game bests Stouffville in 8-3 Wellington win

Erick Delaurentis was all over the ice for the Wellington Dukes, as he tallied two goals and two assists in Wellington's 8-3 win over the Stouffville Spirit.

Delaurentis found the back of the net 11:25 into the second period to make the score 3-3 and again while 8:03 into the third to make the score 7-3 Wellington.

Stouffville was unable to stop the Dukes from sending pucks towards the net, and Wellington eventually piled up 44 shots on goal. The Dukes' goal total was higher than their season average. Wellington has scored at the pace of 3.4 goals per game during the current campaign.

Wellington also got points from Joe McKeown, who also tallied one goal and one assist. Wellington also had goals scored by Abbot Girduckis, who had one and Mike Soucier and Jan Kaminsky, who each put in two. In addition, Wellington received assists from Kyle Paat, who had one and Craig Campbell, Parker Wood, Josh Finkelstein, and Jake Marchment, who each chipped in two.

The Spirit were helped by Jacob Bauchman, who had one goal. Bauchman scored 1:22 into the first period to make the score 1-0 Stouffville. Dakota Redshaw picked up the assist. Stouffville additionally got points from Dylan Savory, who also racked up one goal and one assist to lead the team in points. Robert Powers also scored for Stouffville. More assists for Stouffville came via Sean Power, Alex Botten, and Peyton Backus, who contributed one a piece.

Hayden Lavigne made 21 saves for the Dukes on 24 shots. Wellington incurred eight minutes in penalty time with four minors. For the Dukes, Nolan Powers was ejected from the game. Knick Dawe rejected 36 shots on goal for Stouffville. The Spirit incurred 28 minutes in penalty time with four minors.
