The Pickering Panthers pulled out a 3-2 (OT) overtime victory over the Newmarket Hurricanes on a clutch goal by Andrew McCann. Pickering was led by McCann, who tallied one goal. McCann scored 3:27 into overtime to make the score 3-2 Pickering. Matt Galati provided the assist. The Panthers excelled on the penalty kill, not giving up a single goal in four chances. Pickering additionally got points from Robert Lepine, who also registered one goal and one assist and Dylan Hutton, who also tallied one goal and one assist to lead the team in points. In addition, Pickering received assists from Josh Herrington, Cody Doiron, and Tanner Bull, who each chipped in one. Newmarket kept Pickering's goalie busy throughout the game, and Spencer Bacon made 38 saves on 40 shots. The Hurricanes were helped by Daniel Leavens, who finished with one goal.
