Vince Herlihey gave the Lindsay Muskies a 3-2 (OT) victory over the Cobourg Cougars when he scored 3:44 into the extra period.

Lindsay was sparked by Herlihey, who finished with one goal and one assist.

The Muskies excelled on the penalty kill, not giving up a single goal in five chances. Lindsay forced Cobourg goalie Joe Keyser to work between the pipes, taking 32 shots.

Lindsay also got a goal from Louis-David Bourgault as well. More assists for Lindsay came via Cole Murduff, Dean Klomp, Corey Jackson, and Brian Hubers, who contributed one a piece.

The Cougars' offense rang up 35 shots on the Muskies' net.

Cobourg was helped by Justin Danforth, who racked up one goal. Danforth scored 10:16 into the third period to make the score 2-1 Cobourg. Connor Armour picked up the assist. Cody Mintz also scored for Cobourg. In addition, Cobourg received assists from Evan Jasper, who had one.

Lindsay's Tanner Davis stopped 33 shots out of the 35 that he faced. The Muskies incurred 12 minutes in penalty time with six minors. Keyser rejected 29 shots on goal for the Cougars. Cobourg incurred 14 minutes in penalty time with seven minors.
