The Orangeville Flyers almost clawed their way back from a three-goal deficit, but the St. Michaels Buzzers managed to pull out a 4-2 win in the end. St. Michaels led by three goals at one point and ended with the victory. The largest advantage in the game came when the Buzzers' CJ Shugart's scored at 16:21 in the second period to put St. Michaels up 4-1. Matt Buckles had two goals and one assist to lead the Buzzers. Buckles scored the first of his two goals on the power play at 3:37 into the second period to make the score 2-0 St. Michaels. St. Michaels earned a power play opportunity when Jayme Forslund was put in the box for hooking. Patrick McCarron provided the assist. Buckles' next tally on the power play made the score 3-1 St. Michaels with 9:28 left in the second period. McCarron picked up the assist. The Buzzers forced Orangeville goalie Bo Bessette to work between the pipes, taking 50 shots. St. Michaels also got points from Jake Evans, who also registered one goal and one assist. Other players who recorded assists for St. Michaels were Jake Clements, Ian Edmondson, and Stephen Pietrobon, who each chipped in one. The Flyers' offense rang up 36 shots on St. Michaels' net. Orangeville was helped by Daniel Holt, who finished with one goal. Holt scored on the power play 4:58 into the second period to make the score 2-1 St. Michaels. The Flyers had gotten the advantage when the Buzzers' Troy Josephs was sent off for unsportsmanlike conduct. Kyle Thacker provided the assist. Orangeville also got a goal from Brandon Gaudette as well. More assists for Orangeville came via Kelby Lorenz, who had one. George Argiropoulos rejected 34 shots on goal for St. Michaels. The Buzzers incurred 10 minutes in penalty time with five minors. Bessette recorded 46 saves for Orangeville. The Flyers incurred eight minutes in penalty time with four minors.
