Huge game by Harris boosts Kingston over Whitby, 6-3

Ludlow Harris had two goals and one assist to lead the Kingston Voyageurs to a 6-3 victory over the Whitby Fury.

Harris found the back of the net on the power play 11:36 into the first period to make the score 2-0 Kingston and again while 16:45 into the third to make the score 6-3 Kingston.

Kingston pulled out the victory even though it was hit with 12 penalty minutes.

The Voyageurs excelled on the penalty kill, not giving up a single goal in six chances. Kingston outdid its season average for goals scored. The Voyageurs average 3.8 goals per game.

Kingston additionally got points from Graham Yeo, who also registered two goals and one assist. Michael Schug also scored for Kingston. In addition, Kingston received assists from Chad Duchesne, Josh Hicks, Brian Nanne, and Tyler McCarthy, who each chipped in one and Aidan Wright, Francesco Vilardi, and Scott Mossman, who contributed two a piece.

Whitby kept Kingston's goalie busy throughout the game, and Charlie Finn made 36 saves on 39 shots.

The Fury were led by Henry Thompson, who had one goal. Thompson scored 13:31 into the third period to make the score 5-3 Kingston. Connor Laird assisted on the tally. Whitby also got a goal from Jack Lewis as well. Other players who recorded assists for Whitby were Sam Gray, Steven Deeg, and Josh Hickey, who each chipped in one.

The Voyageurs registered one goal on four power play opportunities. Whitby's starting goalie, Josh Hickey, made 11 saves and finished with the loss before he was taken out in favor of Tyler Feaver, who stopped seven shots. The Fury incurred eight minutes in penalty time with four minors.
