Pickering wins tough contest against Lindsay, 4-2

The Pickering Panthers gutted out a close 4-2 win against the Lindsay Muskies.

No lead was more than two goals during the contest, and the winning goal was scored by Aidan Wallace at 13:06 of the third period.

Wallace had two goals to lead Pickering to victory.

The Panthers excelled on the penalty kill, not giving up a single goal in four chances. Pickering forced Lindsay goalie Tanner Davis to work between the pipes, taking 42 shots.

Pickering also got a goal from Robert Lepine as well. More assists for Pickering came via Jeff Heard, who had one and Andrew McCann and Matt Galati, who contributed two a piece.

The Muskies kept the Panthers' goalie busy throughout the game, and Spencer Bacon made 39 saves on 41 shots.

Lindsay was helped by Tyler Donaldson, who finished with one goal. Donaldson scored 10:55 into the third period to make the score 2-2. Felix Chamberland assisted on the tally. Dean Klomp also scored for Lindsay. Other players who recorded assists for Lindsay were Cole Murduff, who had one.

Pickering incurred 18 minutes in penalty time with four minors. Tanner Davis made 38 saves for the Muskies on 41 shots. Lindsay incurred 22 minutes in penalty time with six minors. The Muskies ran into serious disciplinary problems during the contest, and Matt McCartney was ejected from the game.
