The Fayetteville FireAntz were firing on all cylinders against the Augusta RiverHawks, and when the final buzzer sounded FireAntz emerged with a 6-1 win.

Fayetteville was led by goalie Marco Emond, who finished with 33 saves while allowing one goal. The solid play of Emond will be reflected in his goals against average, which pre-game was 2.47.

The FireAntz were paced by Josh McQuade, who grabbed one goal. McQuade scored 13:55 into the first period to make the score 2-0 Fayetteville. Bobby Reed assisted on the tally.

Fayetteville found the back of the net more times than it usually has this season. This season, the FireAntz average 3.4 goals per contest.

Fayetteville also got points from Corey Toy, who also tallied one goal and one assist, Derek Elliott, who also racked up two goals and one assist to lead the team in points, Ben Contini, who also registered one goal and one assist, and Brent Tamane, who also had one goal and one assist. More assists for Fayetteville came via John Clewlow, who had one and Brandon Richardson, Andrew Smale, and Craig Cole, who contributed two a piece.
