Huge game by Stefan boosts Huntsville over Fayetteville, 4-1Crown Coliseum Fri, Mar 15, 2013 Story by Narrative Science.
The Huntsville Havoc's Stuart Stefan had a big offensive game, scoring two goals and contributing one assist in his team's 4-1 win over the Fayetteville FireAntz. Stefan's tallies came on the power play at 3:36 into the first period to make the score 1-0 Huntsville and 17:31 into the second to make the score 2-1 Huntsville.Huntsville was led by goalie Jesse Kallechy, who finished with 27 saves while allowing one goal. Kallechy certainly lowered his goals against average, which was 3.27 entering the contest. The Havoc put 21 shots on net during the contest, more than the 18.5 they average per game. Huntsville also got points from Nick Lazorko, who also registered two goals and one assist. In addition, Huntsville received assists from Kyle Laughlin, who had two and Paul DAgostino, Matt Smyth, and Mike Gurtler, who contributed one a piece. Fayetteville's offense operated below it season average. The FireAntz put an average of 3.3 pucks into the net per game. With 28 shots on target during the contest, Fayetteville exceeded the 19.9 shots it averages per game this year. The FireAntz were led by Corey Toy, who scored the team's only goal. Toy scored 9:04 into the first period to make the score 1-1. Brent Tamane picked up the assist. Huntsville incurred four minutes in penalty time with two minors. Marco Emond made 17 saves for Fayetteville on 20 shots. The FireAntz incurred six minutes in penalty time with three minors. |
