The Fayetteville FireAntz almost clawed their way back from a three-goal deficit, but the Pensacola Ice Flyers managed to pull out a 6-5 win in the end.

Pensacola led by three goals at one point and ended with the victory. The largest advantage in the game came when the Ice Flyers' Kevin Kozlowski's scored at 11:12 in the second period to put Pensacola up 4-1.

Dan Buccella was all over the ice for the Ice Flyers, as he tallied one goal and two assists in the win. Buccella scored 4:16 into the second period to make the score 1-0 Pensacola. Brandon Vossberg picked up the assist.

Fayetteville's power play was ineffective against Pensacola's penalty kill, which allowed one goal while shorthanded.
