The Huntsville Havoc's Anthony Battaglia had a big offensive game, scoring one goal and contributing two assists in his team's 6-2 win over the Pensacola Ice Flyers.

Battaglia scored 4:14 into the second period to make the score 2-1 Huntsville. Stuart Stefan provided the assist. Battaglia dished an assist on Kyle Laughlin's goal that made the score 3-1 Huntsville at 7:24 into the second period. He added another helper on Bryant Doerrsam's goal that made the score 5-1 Huntsville at 1:16 into the third period.

Referees had their hands full with a major incident at 6:51 into the third period. Four fighting penalties were dished out along with two game misconducts.

Huntsville's goal total was higher than its season average. The Havoc average 2.5 goals per game. Huntsville put 31 shots on net during the contest, more than the 21.5 it averages per game.

Pensacola's penalty kill was spotless, allowing no goals on three Huntsville power plays. Pensacola's defensemen bolstered the Ice Flyers' offensive attack, as they bombarded Dan McWhinney with 12 shots.

For the Havoc, Aaron McGill was ejected from the game. Pensacola's starting goalie, Gerry Festa, made 18 saves and finished with the loss before he was taken out in favor of Peter Skoggard, who stopped seven shots. The Ice Flyers totaled 28 minutes in penalty time with four minors and two majors and went 1-for-4 on the power play. Pensacola ran into serious disciplinary problems during the contest, and Tyler Soehner was ejected from the game.
